Health and Safety
Franklin Offshore Europe is committed to safe and healthy workplaces, every day, everywhere. Our industry is very dynamic; we have people welding, lifting, inspecting, installing, building and spooling, often all at the same time. The combination of these activities demands the active implementation of comprehensive Health, Safety and Environmental policies. These policies protect our employees and minimize the impact of our ecological footprint.
The HSE department which oversees all Health, Safety and Environmental matters. This department in combination with the FOE Safety Committee establishes procedures and guiding principles according to the company’s HSE policy.
Environment
We measure the environmental impact created by our assets and activities and set annual targets for the continuous improvement of our environmental performance and prevention of pollution. To achieve this, we pay special attention to:
- minimizing physical damage to the environment and disturbance to flora and fauna;
- minimizing exposure of the environment to harmful materials;
- using environmentally friendly materials where available and reasonably practicable;
- optimizing energy usage by developing and implementing efficient procedures and equipment;
- eliminating or reducing waste at the source;
- optimizing waste recycling.
Quality Assurance / Quality Control
QA/QC is the combination of quality assurance; the process or set of processes used to measure and assure the quality of a product, and quality control; the process of matching products and services to consumer expectations.
Because Franklin Offshore Europe serves many customers from different industries, an important initial step to take is to assess each customer’s quality requirements and to match these requirements to our operational activities.
By standardizing our processes, we manage our work more efficiently. Our people are expected to use these standards themselves and train new staff to use them too. Regular audits help us continuously adjust and improve this approach.
Franklin Offshore Europe implemented management systems as early as 2009. Our integrated HSEQ system is in compliance with legal, industry, and FOE standards, certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
Full compliance culture
At Franklin Offshore Europe we are committed to a Full Compliance Culture, giving health, safety and environmental matters the highest priority in all our activities. This is supported by our HSEQ system. We require that all employees, contractors, subcontractors, visitors and any others who may be affected by our operations share this commitment.
